Within the last five years, millions of immigrants have made the USA their home, a trend that will continue in the years ahead. This course introduces techniques that will enable attorneys to understand these new clients more completely, present cases more effectively, and heighten awareness of issues of bias inherent in legal representation, from case-intake through courtroom behavior. Awareness of bias issues in today's evolving cross-cultural society is essential, both to prevent discrimination against, and to assure fairness for clients.
